All Boyish QP Freebie - and a few layouts!

This morning was an interesting morning. First, after a long weekend with a few sick kids, I woke up with a few more sick kids. High fevers, chills the whole 9 yards! Augh. So instead of running around taking kids to school I stayed home and blog hopped and read e-mails after getting them all settled down. Unfortunately, I think I am coming down with the same thing! Bummer.

Well, while I was blog hopping I had to go to my favorite of all favorite scrapping blogs: DigiTreats. I am sure everyone knows that one right? Well, anyhow I was reading her past few posts because I have been bad and not as consistant on my stalking of the blog. She asked if those from the United States were Republicans or Democrats. She is Canadian so she was just being curious. Anyhow, I sat there and read all the responses and it was quite interesting.

Then, I started reading my e-mails and a lady I know from one of the yahoo groups I am in with was telling us about a student of hers that was just killed in a car accident. That brought me to tears because it made me start thinking of some close friends I lost at the age of 15. It was so tramatic for me I can just imagine the friends of these girls and what they are going through. Very difficult times indeed. My prayers are with you all.

So, since I am not feeling very well I thought I would just sit here on the computer so I don't have to move very much. And I got a few things done. I uploaded some layouts to some more galleries and did some more site and blog hopping. Here are the pages I was just getting up:

This first layout I did is of my son Jonny when he was like 4 I think. He just loved plastic baseball bats and loved to play with them. Even in the water. LOL! Silly boy!

Here's another baseball layout. This is of a friend of ours' son playing baseball in our backyard for a birthday party.

These are some pictures that I took of the family getting together with their cousins. They had so much fun! I am glad they could spend some time with them.

Now these next two are of a friends' sons birthday party a few years back. He had an animal guy come and share some of his animals with us. It was quite interesting. Something I am not going to forget ever.

This was done with the challenge for September in mind over at SDK. I really like this quote. This is how I preceived this quote. These are my children and one of my sister's children.

Well, just as simple as the title-What do you do in the summertime is a song we sing in church. I thought I would do a page about what we do. We play in the pool and get hair cuts. That is basically what our last summer consisted of.

This is my sister, her daughter, and me. Her daughter looks just like me at that age. Sometimes it can be weird. I think there is a family resemblance there somewhere?

And..... Last but not least this is a layout I just finished using Kim Smith's Always Boyish Addon. I know it is very boyish but you know what there are some other women out there that have boys too. LOL! So this is for all those boys' moms out there.

I have made this page into a QP for everyone. Just click HERE to get the QP below. I hope you like it.

This one is the Calendar Challenge. Amanda Thorderson gave us a mini kit to play with to make this caledar and now it is on my desktop. Well, probably until tomorrow.

This is my son sleeping. I was so happy. I took him to the dollar store and he picked out a soft teddy bear. The next thing I knew he was out! Woohoo! I should take him more often. I had put his full name on the bottom left hand corner but blurred it due to privacy. Thanks for the Ad Challenge for this one!

This is my niece and her boyfriend, also her son. These were taken at my nephews wedding.

This was for the Font Free 4 All Challenge.

Yes, 14 years. It does seem like a long time, yet such a short amount of time. I am so happy to have spent the last 14 years of my life with my hubby! I did this for the Sketchy Details challenge.

Page 9 of the Melon Key Plate Album Freebie fixed!

I am really sorry about that but I put the wrong page in on the last zip. You can download the correct blank page 9 by going to the bottom of this post and pick it up! Thanks bunches all!

But on a personal note! The kids started back to school today! Yay! Now I only have two at home. And boy are they wanting Mommy! Augh! Please come back boys! LOL! My oldest started Junior High and I am very nervous about that! Anyhow, back to the scrapping stuff:

I am making a recipe book with all my favorite recipes in it. This is one of my favorite cookies. Thumbprints. At least that is what we called them growing up. This is so easy. Just use the Peanut Butter mix and after it bakes you put a Hershey's Kiss on it. Oh, my! I am getting hungry!

The next recipe is Creamy Coleslaw. I just buy the preshredded cabbage and make a simple mix of Mayo, sugar, vinegar and salt. Oh, yummy too! My kids actually will eat this.

And then I made a brag book for our trip to the Kern River last weekend. We had a lot of fun. Just thought I would make a quick little album for the family. Now to get it put together. LOL!

Day 10 - Page 9 of the Melon Key Plate Album Freebie (last day)!

Thank you all for coming and picking up the album. I hope you enjoy them! I am going to try to get one finished of my boys and I want to give it to their grandmothers. I will show you when I finish them. But for now, I will keep the zips up until the end of the weekend and then I will one at a time start taking them down. That should give everyone enough time to get them. Thanks again all!

I thought I would share with you a layout I did yesterday.

Here are my two youngest being very silly and playing with their toys in some water the baby poured into a plate. They just were cracking up so much, Travis could not stop laughing.

Day 8 - Page 7 Melon Key Plate Album Freebie

Sorry all that I am so late. What a day. At least 20 boxes unpacked today. What a job. And it was our anniversary! Woohoo! My husband got his motorcycle track finished today too, what timing huh? Anyhow, he is stoked, I am tired and all is well. It is past midnight and I remembered that I needed to post. I hope you enjoy the freebie at the end of the post. Here is the layouts I did yesterday:

My two youngest are playing Pan War! At first they were just seeing how loudly they could bang but then they were teasing each other and making noise together.

This is my youngest playing in a drawer I keep ready for him. It is just my measuring spoons and cups so I don't really mind. He is so funny and spills them out like the old Pick-Up Sticks. And it is so fun to put them away too! LOL!

This is my youngest and his Sippy Cup. If you touch it he will scream and yell, if you don't fill it fast enough he will scream and yell. Do you think he loves it? I do!

This is my son Chris. He broke his toe at the beginning of the summer and had to be on crutches this whole time. He was so anxious to get off them. I just had to do a page so he could remember what he did.

A bit about me

I am a stay at home mother of 7 boys that keep me busy all day, but I love to create in many different ways when I have a few minutes to myself. Since my youngest is finally in the double digits, I am able to have a little more time to myself to create. I love crafting in any way, shape, or form and I would like to share that with you. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and gardening which I hope to share with you too.
